Easy, yummy and my kids gobbled it up.Great recipe, thanks.
This was a nice, easy recipe, but got I wasn't sure of the intent with the topping due to lack of directions. I guessed & mixed everything together without melting the butter, but it was still extremely dry, so I added some water. Other than that, it turned out great & DH gives 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up, especially over icecream. Thanks Kiwidutch for sharing this recipe.
Oh my, this 'brown stuff' is delicious. So easy to make too. For the topping I melted the butter, added the rest of the topping ingredients and mixed it well before spreading it on the still warm cooked base. Served pieces with a dollop of whipped cream on top! Decadent.
This made for a good desssert although I was expecting it to be less like a bar cookie and more like a brownie. I was also hoping that I would taste the chocolate more but it was tasty none the less.
This is different from what I had anticipated. It has a nice flavor and DH says he thinks it would be great with some ice cream. After melting the butter for the topping, I found that I needed to add some milk. I used 1/2 cup of sugar along with the coconut and cocoa powder. I used a 9x13 inch pan when making this.
This is very good! DH and I really enjoyed this with a cold glass of milk! I made it exactly like the recipe, except I added some milk to the icing just to make it a little more spreadable. The pan I used was a little too large, but the only problem with that was that the edges got too brown. I will also make more icing next time. I think a thicker layer would be heavenly! Made this is response the the recipe promo, Think Color! Thanks Kiwi and thanks to your Pa too!
