  • Combine water, rice and butter; bring to a boil.
  • Boil uncovered until craters form on the surface and most of the water has been absorbed.
  • Cover and reduce heat to low; steaming rice 20 minutes or until tender.
  • Fluff with a fork. TaaaDaaa!

  2. This took longer than 20 minutes for my rice to become tender, and I had to add more liquid to keep it from scorching. I was simmering the sauce for Champagne Chicken (recipe #10656) and close to the stove, but wouldn't have wanted to walk away while this was cooking. The rice wasn't sticky, but I will still continue my search for the perfect cooking method.
