After going on the South Beach Diet I had an awful time making brown rice that wasn't gummy and sticky until I discovered this recipe! Perfect every time!
- Combine water, rice and butter; bring to a boil.
- Boil uncovered until craters form on the surface and most of the water has been absorbed.
- Cover and reduce heat to low; steaming rice 20 minutes or until tender.
- Fluff with a fork. TaaaDaaa!

This took longer than 20 minutes for my rice to become tender, and I had to add more liquid to keep it from scorching. I was simmering the sauce for Champagne Chicken (recipe #10656) and close to the stove, but wouldn't have wanted to walk away while this was cooking. The rice wasn't sticky, but I will still continue my search for the perfect cooking method.
