This recipe is easy and good! I replaced the cream of chicken with cream of mushroom to make the recipe vegetarian, used fresh instead of frozen broccoli, and added onion. Will definitely make it again.

This was a pretty good little casserole. Next time, I am going to try adding more veggies, maybe some mushrooms, etc. I added a little onion, which tasted good. Thanks for posting!

Dancer, this was a MAJOR hit at our house. I always use what I have on hand that’s close to fix the recipe when I don’t have the exact ingredients. First off I loved that it used brown rice. I didn’t have enough cheddar, so I added Velveeta to make the full cup of cheese. Half and half I’ve never had, we love sour cream, and it’s a milk product and goes well with cheese, we love it, so I used it. I had didn’t have frozen, but had fresh broccoli, but not enough, so I supplemented it with fresh cauliflower, to equal 20 oz. of broccoli. My husband was 10 years in the army and a good cook also, and rather detail-oriented. The specific “rule” in our house for my husband’s lunch’s is have it for supper today, and for the lunch the day after tomorrow, and that’s what I pretty much always do. When he SPECIFICALLY points out that he DOES want this for lunch day after tomorrow I KNOW I’VE GOT A DEFINITE “REAL KEEPER’ on my hands. My husband said, “write it down”, how cool is that, Very Cool!!! Yea……I did good, feels good. I changed the recipe a little bit because I didn’t have the “exact” ingredients, although next time I’d love to use all broccoli. Dancer, this was just plain AWESOME! If there was a 6 star option I’d have used that. Thank-you!

This was really easy and quite tasty! I substituted cream of celery for the cream of chicken, and it was quite creamy and filling -- and very tasty.

Although this recipe was not all that hard to put togther, I thought the overall taste was quite bland. Not at all what I was expecting. I will not make this recipe again.
