This is a very simple, healthy recipe to use as a side dish. Much softer, more flavorful, and tastier than traditional rice. The rice vinegar gives it a nice flavor
- Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Mix well.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and cover.
- Simmer for 45-50 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Stir, remove from heat, covered and allow to stand for 5 minutes.
This has gone into my favorites. So flavorful and easy to make. Also tried it with beef broth & added 2 tsp of minced garlic. Very good!! (It needed a lot more water. I have to use 2 and 3/4 cups of water in the rice cooker-I'm at 5,000 ft)
