First off, thanks for not only posting this for me, but for promoting my recipe. I am going to have to change mine to promote yours as well. I am a native Kansan, and grew up eating at the Brookville hotel. My parents came to visit me, and I surprised them by making a Brookville style dinner:Fried chicken, Mashed potatoes with cream gravy, cream corn, the coleslaw, biscuits, relish plate and cottage cheese, and pie and ice cream for dessert. They were so happy and it tasted great!! This coleslaw is honestly the best I have ever had, it reminds me of when I was little and we got to go to the Brookville Hotel as a special treat. Thanks so much for posting this!

Wow- I made this for a birthday BBQ recently and everyone raved over the coleslaw, especially the men! This is seriously the best coleslaw I have ever had!

Love this coleslaw. It's different from others because it uses whipping cream instead of mayo. I added some shredded carrots to mine to give it some color.

One minor correction... salt the cabbage before refrigerating it! It helps break down the cabbage. Note: This is from the original recipte posted in the upstairs hallway of the original Brookville Hotel.

Did a search to see if Brookville Slaw had made it to Zaar, and here it is. We used to go to Brookville for special events and enjoyed their food and atmosphere very much. The slaw recipe was a must buy while you were there, and a must make when you got home. Thanks winkki for posting so everyone else gets a chance to try it and love it.

Still the best cole slaw on Earth. Absolutely must eat it fresh right after making it. If you ever get to Kansas, it's namesake, the Brookville Hotel, has an entire fired chicken meal to go with it!

I have enjoyed this recipe many times. Depending on who will be eating,I will sometimes add horseradish sauce to this recipe.

This quick and easy cole slaw is one that will surely please your guests. We grilled hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill and this cole slaw was a perfect side dish. Thanks for sharing it, Chef #375404.

I am also a native Kansan and was a friend of the Martin's late daughter, Brandy. This recipe brings back memories of good food and friends while growing up. It's the best cole slaw that I have ever eaten and in this day of preshredded cabbage, it is so simple to make. Visit Brookville Hotel to read about the history of the Brookville Hotel (old and new) and to see pictures of each of their unique dining rooms.
