Broiler Tuna Burger

I love tuna melts and this recipe is no exception. Since the food manufacturers are now putting tuna into 5-ounce cans (instead of 6-1/2 oz), I cut the gherkins and onions to 1-1/2 tablespoons each and the mayo to 3 tablespoons. This was a very quick and easy recipe to make during my lunch hour today. Made for Spring 2010 Pick-A-Chef.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (6 1/2 ounce) can tuna
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onions
  • 2 tablespoons sweet gherkins
  • 14 cup mayonnaise
  • 5 hamburger buns
  • 5 slices cheese

Directions

  1. Split and toast 5 hamburger buns in the toaster.
  2. Spread tuna mixture on buns.
  3. Top with sliced cheese.
  4. Broil for 4 minutes.
