  1. YUM! This was a great simple way to make this! I used catfish nuggets and instead of garlic used blacking seasoning, cause blackened catfish is tasty, but fills my house with smoke when i make it!

  2. Wow Toolbelt Diva, this was amazing! I had four half-pound catfish fillets, so I ended up multiplying all the ingredients by 1.5 so that I could make sure I had enough sauce. Based on the first review, I marinaded the fillets for about an hour in the sauce and then broiled them. I had to broil them for 15-20 minutes, but my oven is really slow (and my fillets were huge!). These went over so well - I cooked them for my parents and they loved them! They held the flavor so well and the liquid smoke really makes this sauce. Awesome recipe!

  3. I have to start by saying I do not like bottled smoke and so I wondered why I chose this recipe - well Toolbelt Diva you have made a convert out of me. - This fish was excellent. Definately smokey and so moist. When I mixed the basting sauce I even thought 2 tsp of liquid smoke? However I carried through measuring the exact amounts of the ingredients -Very very pleasant flavor not overbearing at all. The first bite was such a pleasant surprise Yhis basting sauce would be excellent on chicken too Definately a do again recipe- Toolie rules- Thanks for posting

  4. this was good, but not great. i think the next time i make this recipe i will marinate the fish for about 1/2 hour, instead of just basting it. the fish was moist and easy to make, but the taste of the marinade was very faint. i used tilapia instead of catfish, DH does not like catfish. I will make this again and re-review it.
