  • 3 large tomatoes, halved and seeded
  • 1 tablespoon virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons italian seasoning
  • 13 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Place tomato halves on a greased broiler pan, cut-side up.
  • Combine olive oil and seasoning in a small bowl and brush evenly over tomatoes.
  • Broil about 6 inches from heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Sprinkle each tomato half with about 1 tablespoon shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Broil 1 to 2 minutes more until cheese is lightly browned.
  • Serve immediately.
