      I made this recipe using frozen cauliflower and fresh broccoli. I steamed them both a bit before assembly. I had to leave out ANY olives as DH hates them! I would have enjoyed both. I reheated the leftovers in the microwave with a bit of water added. Thank you.

      Made for the Newest Tag Game & our X-Mas Eve dinner w/DH's Mom, I was very pleased to find a vegetable gratin recipe that didn't indulge in dairy products overload. DH is dairy products diet-restricted. He can "splurge" occ for either milk or cheese, but the combo of both isn't good for him. I used black olives & added carrot sections to the veggie mix, but otherwise made the recipe exactly as written. The result was enjoyed by all of us & DH even added an extra "thumbs-up" for the unexpected but welcome use of black olives which he esp favors. Like another recipe made before it, my only regret was failing to get a decent pic in my haste to serve our meal. So like the other recipe, you have an IOU from me for a pic. Thx for sharing this tasty recipe w/us.
