  1. This was a great combo of flavors. I loved the addition of the bread crumbs - something I don't usually add. I did add some more garlic. Next time I might sear the broccoli a bit more to get it more roasted and flavorful. Thanks!

  2. Simple and so pleasing, lovely vegetable dish, Evelyn!! We enjoyed this for International Agents Of Quest, USA Southern Region. A keeper ;)

  3. Excellent! Bright green broccoli topped with butter browned bread crumbs flavored with lemon zest and garlic. The best broccoli dish I have ever tasted! I cheated and microwaved 16 oz of frozen broccoli flowerets and added 1 tbls butter, salt and fresh ground pepper before adding the topping. Next time I will double the garlic. You could also add a few red pepper flakes to the butter before adding the bread crumbs. So simple yet so delicious. Goes into my book of special tricks!

  4. We did enjoy this broccoli dish. I used frozen instead of fresh broccoli. Thanks for sharing.

  5. This is deliciously garlicky. Next time I would skip the steaming because we prefer more crunch.

I moved out here many, many years ago from Ottawa, Canada - so I am blessed in having two wonderful heritages! I suffer from compulsive obsessive behaviour with regard to food and my psychiatrist thought it would be a good idea to find a 'society' where many have the same problem and try to find a cure. So far, I've copied a couple of thousand recipes from this site and my psychiatrist has thrown the towel in and refuses to answer the phone when I call. What did I do wrong? Got 3 kids that keep me on the go - 10 and under at this point (2008) - I may not get round to updating this for a few years, so you'll have to do your own maths. I teach English full-time and Greek Cookery part-time. I would like to make the cooking part of it full-time and the English Grammar part of it part-time. That's all for now.
