I subbed red onion for the chives or green onion and upped the amount of dressing. Still, the salad was a little dry. I think it was just the nature of the tortellini. However, I don't really know how to correct the matter. More dressing would just sit on the outside of the pasta...it was the cheese filling that was too dry. My guests just didn't eat this. I love tortellini, but have decided not in cold salads. This salad would be excellent with spiral pasta (or any shape) and some raisins....however, that would be another recipe entirely...

Wonderful summer salad! The taste is fantastic and I love the cheese tortellini! Plus, how can you go wrong with bacon? Yum!

A good and simple recipe. I added some roasted corn, as well as black pepper. I left the bacon to the side as some were vegetarians.

Loved how easy this was to put together. Took it to a potluck and it went over well. I was happy to bring some home to have with next nights dinner. Delicious. :)

My sister and I love tortelleni salad. I had her over for lunch and made this. We both thought it was very delicious. I used grape tomatoes and green onions. Very colorful and the bacon and sunflower seeds made this a stand-out in my opinion. Thanks, Beatrice.
