- 907.18 g fresh broccoli
- 118.29 ml water
- 236.59 ml butter or 236.59 ml margarine
- 236.59 ml flour
- 946.36 ml chicken broth
- 946.36 ml half-and-half
- 226.79 g fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 4.92 ml salt
- 1.23 ml white pepper
- 1.23 ml tarragon leaf, crushed
directions
- Cut the broccoli into 1/2 inch pieces.
- Steam in water until crisp yet tender, do not drain. Set aside.
- In a large pan over medium heat, melt butter and then add flour, Cook stirring constantly, for 2 - 4 minutes. Do not Brown. Stir in chicken stock broth and bring to a boil. Turn heat to low, add half-and-half, mushrooms, broccoli and seasonings to the liquid.
- Heat through but do not boil. Serve immediately.
