We weren't wild about this. The sauce has a pasty consistency that was a bit of a turnoff. It's a texture thing. Maybe thinning it out a little would help.

I liked the flavor of this although I would reduce the onion down to a few tablespoons. It was more of a topping than a sauce. The sauce would work well on a number of vegetables and don't limit yourself to just broccoli. Thanks for posting! Reviewed for Veg Swap #19-2010.

Really great sauce! I made it as directed (except I roasted the broccoli and added roasted corn). I loved the tangy savory-ness of it. I think substituting lower fat sour cream or yogurt would be fine because the flavor from the mustard, onions and garlic is what really shines. Delicious!

This was really good. My DH even went back for seconds (he doesn't like broccoli!). The kids weren't the biggest fans, but what do they know! The only thing I did different was double the sauce so I could mix the broccoli in with it in the pan. I used vegan sour cream and added just a touch of nutritional yeast for a bit of a cheesy flavor. Definitely a keeper, especially for a dinner without the kids! Served with Balsamic Chicken With Garlic Couscous. Thanks mliss!

Very good, the mustard compliments the broccoli perfectly. I used nonfat sour cream--otherwise made as posted. This would be very good over brussel sprouts, too. Thanks mliss29 for posting another broccoli variation! DH loves broccoli. Made For Veggie Swap.

I used a little less butter and non-fat sour cream and I ate a whole plate of it for dinner. Wonderful! My onions got a little brown after 3 min. (It could be because I cut the recipe in half or because my stovetop seems to cook at medium or higher) Anyway, my sacue came out a little bit of a golden color and the taste reminded me of onion dip- Next time I will be eating this on a baked potato, and everything else I can find! Thanks Mliss!

Absolutely excellent!! I saved this about a month ago and just got round to making it tonight to go with some stuffed chicken. It was so good and so simple I wished I had made this sooner. It will definitely become a favourite side dish in our house. Great post!!!!

A perfect recipe for broccoli. Made as written (microwaved the broccoli) and added a sprinkling of crumbled Canadian bacon. Yummo!

This was a nice way to eat broccoli! I too used light sour cream and enjoyed the mustard flavor. Thanks mliss. Made for ZWT4 by a fellow Fancy Feinschmecker!

*Reviewed for Australian NZ Forum June Recipe Swap* We really enjoyed this sauce. Quick to make and foolproof. Not low in calories but we did use lite sour cream. My husband wants to try it on grilled chicken or fish. Photo also being posted

Despite my fat lowering tweaks, only 1 tablespoon of butter and subbing plain, fat free yogurt for the sour cream, this was WONDERFUL! I had run out of ideas to dress up veggies and this fit the bill; lots of flavor without the added calories. I am looking forward to trying the sauce on other dishes. Thanks for posting!

Excellent sauce for broccoli. I used light sour cream and half the butter and it was still quite good. Reviewed for PAC 2008.

This is very easy to make and the flavours blend well. I served with recipe#278209 and Garlic Mashed Red Potatoes and steamed carrots. A wonderful meal :) I will use the sauce over other veggies and meats as well. Thanks for a real 'keeper' :)
