Yum, Yum...this recipe was wonderful. I do not care for mushrooms, so I used cream of broccoli and it turned out great. Everyone loved it. Thanks for sharing.

LOVED IT! Being one of those who's squeamish about Velveeta, I used a can of condensed cheddar cheese soup instead and also reduced the butter to 8 T. I got home from work late, so I made it on the stovetop rather than the crockpot, which didn't take long at all. I think the onions really make this dish. Thanks Kara, I will definitely be making this again. Made for 1-2-3 Hit Wonders, please see my rating system.

Easy and cheesey side dish. I made this with 98% fat free cream of broccoli soup instead of cream of mushroom. I agree with a previous review that 11 tbsp of butter seemed excessive, so I only used 8 tbsp. Even with 2 lbs of cut broccoli, it just seemed like too much rice. When I make this again, I will adjust it and only use 1 cup of rice. Thanx for a great new Crockpot side!

This was really good and easy to make. I followed the recipes other then I used minced onions (my kids don't like hunks of onions :) ) and only used 8 tablespoons of butter as I thought 11 seemed like a lot. I also added a good bit of pepper before cooking. I also needed to cook mine about an hour and forty five minutes on high. It was really rich and creamy. The kids really ate it up.

I made this for Thanksgiving last month and it was a huge hit with my teen daughters. It was so good that they said I need to make this on a regular basis, not just special occasions. Good job!
