  • Cook broccoli according to package directions; drain well.
  • In a large saucepan, combine the soup, sour cream, 1 cup cheese and 1 1/4 cups onions.
  • Cook over medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until heated through. Stir in the broccoli.
  • Pour into a greased 2-qt baking dish.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly.
  • Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and onions. Bake 10-15 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

  1. This was delicious. The only thing I changed was adding one package of cauliflower instead of two packages of broccoli.
     
  2. Very good broccoli casserole! Loved the mix of sour cream and cheese, and the onion topping was delicious! I halved the recipe with no problem. Made for PAC Spring 2010.

  5. This was so good! Diner, I had to alter this recipe slightly by what I had in the fridge. I used a mixture of broccoli and cauliflower, and in place of the sour cream (which I thought I had a full container of, but didn't) I substituted Helluva French onion dip, which is sour-cream based. I reduced the amount of french-fried onions that I stirred in, but used the remainder of the can on top for more crunchiness. Very flavourful - will definitely make again. Made for Top Favorites of 2009 Cookbook Tag-Feb'10.

I don't like to cook things that require going to specialized grocery stores. I subscribe to several cooking magazines, that usually, require everyday on-hand ingredients. <br /><br />I am not very fond of most seafood, but do enjoy lobster, grilled shrimp and chilean sea bass. I won't cook anything with rosemary or curry, as I really don't like either herbs' flavor.
