I really loved this - breadcrumbs and all! It does have an interesting combination of flavors that I enjoy. I made exactly as stated. I love the taste of balsamic vinegar; it's not too overpowering. I will make this again!

This made a great vegetarian dinner. Soquick and easy! I did find that the taste of the vinegar stood out a bit too much and might try balancing it with some other flavors. This was finished off wonderfully with some parmesan cheese.

Made for a main dish for dinner tonight. Made as directed, though I only used 1 tomato. Very flavorful, and colorful. Made for Cookbook Tag 2011.

I enjoyed this. I had to sub in well-drained, canned tomatoes because its winter and California mix because I had everything ready only to discover that my kids had finished the broccoli without telling me. Both substitutions worked just fine. The bread crumbs toasted in the olive oil gave it an odd, half crunchy, half soggy with tomato juice texture that I wasn't all that fond of so I think I will leave them out another time. The broccoli-tomato-garlic-balsamic vinegar flavor was a hit. I sprinkled it with a bit of parmesan because it seemed to fit. Its not too much trouble and makes up quickly so it will fit right in on those days when the meat is a little plain and, while you aren't up to anything elaborate, a simple steamed or microwaved vegetable isn't enough. You're right about the servings. I fed one adult, 2 teens, a 6yo, and a baby and we were scraping the pot so 6 adults is a bit iffy unless they're very light eaters. I'll bet it would be tasty to do the same thing with zucchini.
