Love these easy veggie recipes. Servings is a guesstimate.
- 2 lbs fresh broccoli
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 2 minced green onions
- 1⁄4 cup sliced almonds
- 2 teaspoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
- salt and pepper
- Cook broccoli, drain and keep warm.
- Heat butter until melted, then add green onions and almonds and stir over medium heat for about 2 minutes.
- Add lemon juice, salt and pepper and pour the sauce over the broccoli.
This is a really great broccoli side. I added some yellow bell pepper and we liked that combination (otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly). Thanks for a keeper!
A simple dish and full of flavor. I rinsed the broccoli and microwaved until crisp tender. In a small saucepan I melted the butter and sautéed the green onions as per the recipe. The sauce was poured over and tossed gently. This was served with Garlic Mushroom Risotto recipe #119541 and Parmesan Chicken Recipe #81359.
I really enjoyed the almonds with the broccoli. Cooks up very quickly and easily and was great with fish.
