Love these easy veggie recipes. Servings is a guesstimate.
- 2 lbs fresh broccoli
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 2 minced green onions
- 1⁄4 cup sliced almonds
- 2 teaspoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
- salt and pepper
- Cook broccoli, drain and keep warm.
- Heat butter until melted, then add green onions and almonds and stir over medium heat for about 2 minutes.
- Add lemon juice, salt and pepper and pour the sauce over the broccoli.
This is a really great broccoli side. I added some yellow bell pepper and we liked that combination (otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly). Thanks for a keeper!
A simple dish and full of flavor. I rinsed the broccoli and microwaved until crisp tender. In a small saucepan I melted the butter and sautéed the green onions as per the recipe. The sauce was poured over and tossed gently. This was served with Garlic Mushroom Risotto Garlic Mushroom Risotto and Parmesan Chicken Parmesan Chicken.
I really enjoyed the almonds with the broccoli. Cooks up very quickly and easily and was great with fish.
