This recipe is quick and easy, and does not need to be done ahead like so many breakfast casserole. My family loves this recipe!
LOVED IT!! When I sauted the sausage, I added some chopped peppers and onions! When it was just about baked...I tossed some sliced black peppers. This is a terrific recipe to play with! Thank you Karen!!
We really enjoyed this for breakfast and look forward to making it many more times. I used some cut up ham in place of the sausage -- we're not big sausage fans. I also sprinkled some chopped up chives over the ham. I added some garlic powder and salt to the eggs. Plus I used a little extra cheese. There was nothing "bland" about this -- it was wonderful. I think the next time I will add some sauteed sliced mushrooms. There really are a lot of different variations to play with -- just starting with your basic recipe. Thanks so much for sharing.
This recipe tastes great!!!! I would recommend baking it five minutes or so and then sprinkling the cheese on. Great meal
Wonderfully easy and delicious. Next time I may add vegetables such as green onions or tomatoes, but it's great as it is.
This was a very good breakfast dish. I did only use one crescent roll in an 8x8 dish, putting it on top and bottom. I put everything else the same except for adding 1/2 tsp seasoned salt. This was for only 4 servings. Thanks for posting this recipe.
I wasn't very impressed with the final product. It definitely needed salt, and due to using two crescent packages, the whole bake was too thin. I would recommend people use a smaller dish (say a 9x9 pan) and only one crescent roll container and then using the same amount of filling and adding salt and some more pepper.
This was wonderful! Chad has raved about it for the last hour! I made it exactly as the recipe stated, and do agree with others that the cheese needs to be added after about 5 minutes of baking. I'll definitely make this again. Chad has tons of ideas on how to make this different. I also love that it has crust to hold it together. Definitely would be something I could eat on the way to work as long as it continues to turn out like today's did! Thanks for a great recipe!
What a great recipe! I made it this weekend with pre-cooked bacon instead of sausage. I also used shredded mozzerella because that's what I had. I'm excited to try it with other meat, cheese & veggie combos. VERY versatile and easy!
I used ground turkey to which I added salt, pepper, thyme, crushed red pepper, and garlic powder. As others suggested, I added the cheese after 5 minutes of baking. This was very quick and easy and has lots of potential for changing it up. Next time I will add chopped green onions. Thanks for sharing
