"I had these for the first time on the deck at my brother and sister-in-law's home in S. Cal. They had such a declicous flavor, and eating outside made them even better. Enjoy them with fruit and whipped cream or your favorite syrup. If you want an even lighter texture you can seperate the eggs, whip the whites and fold them in at the end; my SIL always mixes them in whole and they are wonderful!"

¹⁄₄ cup butter, melted
1 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
1 ¹⁄₂ cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar

directions

Preheat you waffle iron and cook according to your iron's directions.
Mix together the wet ingredients, add in the dry and beat till mostly smooth.

These waffles were okay. The batter is definitely too thick so I had to add some milk. I also thought they didn't have much flavor. I added a bit of salt, more vanilla, cinnamon, and a little brown sugar. I served them with caramelized bananas and they turned out pretty good.

Nice waffles!!! I didn't have mine on the deck, too hot and humid, but did enjoy them inside with the air conditioning, lol!! I have to agree with others, this batter is too thick and needs some liquid to thin it out and a dash of salt, but that may have to do with me living in such a hot and humid area/state. I topped mine with strawberries and whipped cream, yum!! Made for ZWT 9.

This did make a very thick batter, I added a little extra milk and had to spread the batter onto the waffle iron. But they made a very nice waffle! I liked the sour cream flavor, I served them with blueberry syrup and the sweet and sour was a very good balance! Made for Hot Pink Panthers, ZWT9.
