Nana Lee, I guess maybe it is a Southern thing but I thought everyone made this. Goes good with biscuits, sliced tomatoes, mashed potatoes, and chicken fried steak. This is super easy.
- Mix bacon grease and flour in a skillet over medium heat until medium brown, stirring constantly.
- Add milk, stirring constantly, until it comes to a boil.
- Gravy should be medium thick.
Great gravy! Served this over biscuits and topped with bacon. Was very easy to make; similar to my mom's gravy except she usually uses sausage and makes it a lot thicker. This would also be good on potatoes or chicken fried steak/chicken as well. Made for 2012 Spring PAC.
