This was a good breakfast casserole. I halved the recipe to make just a little bit for my husband and I, and our 1 year old, for New Years day breakfast. I added some chopped jalapeno, used monterey jack instead of swiss cheese, and I sprinkled some crumbled bacon over top of it. I also added a bit more milk than the recipe called for. Everyone liked it and we enjoyed the leftovers the next couple days as well. Thanks for posting the recipe.

I love to check cookbooks out of the library. Many of the cookbooks I own were either bought or passed down from my mother. My favorite cookbooks are those that carry a collection of recipes from everyday people like Recipezaar does. I love trying new recipes. It feels like a human connection with other great cooks of the world. Thank you all for your contributions!
I like to try a recipe the way the cook presented it at first, anytime thereafter I might make changes if I'd like to add or omit something.
I admit I'm not an adventurous cook. My imagination is limited. I'm drawn to recipes I believe will taste good. I usually know how to pick what I would like. The favorable ratings help a lot also, by allowing me to step out of that comfort zone and experiment more with food. Add my own touches. Create my own dishes. Try new things. Above all, have fun with food, like great cooks do.
I love Recipezaar. I am addicted to this site.
