My chef in training (my son) and I wanted something “different" for breakfast and we came up with this.

This is such a neat idea. I didn't have all the ingredients, but tried some scrambled eggs wrapped in the biscuits like you laid out here, and it was delicious.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (16 1/3 ounce) can large refrigerated biscuits (i used grands butter tasting)
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten with
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup diced cooked ham
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 12 tablespoons green chilies
  • 34 cup shredded cheese (chef's choice)
  • 3 -4 tablespoons margarine
  • cooking spray


  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt margarine.
  2. Add rest of ingredients, except cheese.
  3. Scramble for 5 to 7 minutes or until desired firmness.
  4. Set aside.
  5. Roll biscuits into 8 5-inch circles.
  6. divide egg mixture over 4 circles leaving a ¾-inch edge.
  7. Sprinkle cheese over eggs.
  8. Cover with remaining biscuits.
  9. Seal edges with fork.
  10. Lightly spray a medium-size baking sheet.
  11. Place calzones on sheet.
  12. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  13. Serve with a side of your favorite breakfast potatoes.
