  1. Heat the butter in a large saucepan; add the onions and garlic and sautee until transparent.
  2. Add the breadfruit to sauteed vegetables; pour chicken stock over all and cook until the breadfruit is tender.
  3. Cool.
  4. Put into an electric blender and whirl until smooth, adding the cream while blending.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste and chill thoroughly.
  6. If soup is too thick, thin with a little milk.
  7. Garnish with chopped chives.

This is excellent! Tastes very potato-y. I used a vegetarian chiken-flavoured stock. It would be excellent as a dinner party soup.
