  1. Combine milk and hot water; pour over bread and let stand until lukewarm.
  2. Stir in eggs, butter, salt and vanilla.
  3. Pour into baking dish.
  4. Set baking dish in a shallow pan of hot water.
  5. Bake at 350° for approximately 1 hour.
