This is one of my favorite comfort foods and it is good hot or cold. I serve mine warm with either Whipped Cream on top or some of my own vanilla sauce.

  1. Beat eggs with milk.
  2. Add sugar and nutmeg to the mix.
  3. Pour over broken up raisin bread in 9" x 9" baking dish.
  4. Add slices of butter on top.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
