Here is a recipe for your bread machine.
- 2 1⁄2 teaspoons yeast
- 1 1⁄3 cups cream of wheat
- 2 2⁄3 cups bread flour
- 2 tablespoons gluten (optional)
- 2 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
- 2 2⁄3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 medium eggs
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 1 1⁄3 cups water
- Put all in your bread machine in order according to manufacturer instructions. Bake as a normal loaf.
I like this. I will be experimenting with adding raisins or dried cranberries, maybe a bit more sugar and some cinnamon.
This was really good even though I didn't follow the recipe exactly. All I had was 3/4 cup of cream of wheat so to make up the difference, I added wheat flour. I fixed this on my "dough" cycle in my bread machine and ended up having to add a little more wheat flour because it was too gooey. I baked it in my regular oven at 375 degrees for 35 minutes. This bread rose quickly and made a huge loaf so be sure and use a large loaf pan to bake it in.
I followed directions to a T. Did not like at all. Very bland tasting. Could not even taste any cream of wheat. Sorry this did not work for me at all.
