Bread & Celery Stuffing

"This is my favorite, classic Thanksgiving stuffing. I don't usually ever stuff my bird, I just put this in a baking dish and cook it that way. To me this is total comfort food."

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over low heat.
  • Turn heat up to medium.
  • Add celery and onion and cook until slightly soft.
  • Add poultry seasoning, salt and pepper and stir until well incorporated.
  • Add bread cubes and toss until well coated.
  • Add chicken broth a little at a time until stuffing is moistened but not soggy.
  • Pour into a greased 9x13 baking dish.
  • Bake for 25 - 30 minutes until cooked through and crispy on top.
