- 1 lb herb-seasoned stuffing cubes, for prepared stuffing
- 3⁄4 cup butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 stalks celery, finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup chicken broth
directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over low heat.
- Turn heat up to medium.
- Add celery and onion and cook until slightly soft.
- Add poultry seasoning, salt and pepper and stir until well incorporated.
- Add bread cubes and toss until well coated.
- Add chicken broth a little at a time until stuffing is moistened but not soggy.
- Pour into a greased 9x13 baking dish.
- Bake for 25 - 30 minutes until cooked through and crispy on top.
