Made this last night as we needed something warm and filling and we all loved it! Hearty with lots of flavors and the caraway seed was an inspired addition. :)

Boy, this is a hearty chowder!! It put a big smile on DH's face . . .all his favorites! The only thing I did differently is used about 12 oz. of cheese and only one bottle of beer. Worked out perfectly! Thanks Kelly!

I loved this recipe! A very hearty "manly" soup! Spicy with sharp flavors. I only had two brats left over from a cookout so I diced those up added about three cups of small steamed broccoli florets to the mix and it didn't hurt one bit! The mustard and horseradish make this dish special.

Awesome flavor! The flavors of the horseradish, coarse mustard and caraway really pick up this chowder and the sharp cheddar cheese is a perfect match for those flavors. I used lowfat turkey kielbasa for the brats and for the cream, I used fat free half & half. A great success! I will certainly make this again, and perhaps throw in some shredded cabbage or even sauerkraut. Oh, yum!!! Thanx for sharing.

Recipe was easy to make and is filling and satisfying. Kids are not "spicy" fans so I left out the horseradish and used German mustard. This would be great served over rye toast or with fresh rye bread for dipping. Kids thought the cheese was too strong (used sharp cheddar). I may try this again with mild cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese for the kiddos.

This is a great chowder to make for cold/snowy days. Very filling and satisfying. The taste of the caraway seed really came thru as did the spiciness of the mustard in combination with horseradish. It actually packs quite a bite. Great for the men in my house who like that type of spicy/bitterness. I"m glad I tagged and thanks for posting. Made for Feb. Cupid/Bev. Tag 08.
