Bran Muffins

All-Bran recipe for muffins. The first time I made these (in 1970) they were overcooked and my dad said I could kill a bear with them. We lived in Yosemite at the time. We still call them bear biscuits. Love them with winter soups.

Amazing, as usual! Great texture, nutty flavor, and pretty healthy too. :) To quote my husband, "mmm..." (with a relaxed contented look on his face). Unfortunately, I forgot to sift the dry ingredients together, so I did get a few clumps of baking powder. I guess I'll just have to make some more soon!

  1. Mix cereal and milk and let set for about 5 minutes until cereal softens. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Spray muffin pans with Pam or use baking cup liners. Bake 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.
