An Irish side dish. . .very easy to throw together and very tasty as well.

  1. Clean celery, cut into one-inch pieces and place in a casserole dish.
  2. Finely chop bacon and onion and sprinkle over celery along with chopped parsley.
  3. Pour on stock. Dot with knobs of butter. Cover dish and bake in a moderate oven for 30-45 minutes.

Very good. I made the recipe as directed to serve with baked fish. This is a nice side dish.

This is a nice side dish, easy and no-fuss! I cooked mine for 45 minutes and the celery had just the right texture - not too crunchy and not too soft. There is no overpowering flavor in this dish so it could partner with just about any main course and the herbs/spices could probably be varied as well. Thanks for posting the recipe! Made for ZWT8, Chefs gone WILD!
