  1. Thanks for another GREAT recipe!! Instead of Plum Tomatoes..I used a can of the Petite Tomatoes (by Delmonte Veggies)& Instead of Bow Ties..I used Thin Spaghetti, broke into 3 pieces..! I let the spaghetti simmer in with the rest of ingredients for about 5 minutes to take up the taste of the broth..! This recipe was AWESOME!! NIKKI :)

  2. This got mixed reviews at my house. I liked it but hubby didn't think it had much of a taste. I made it as directed other then I used petite diced canned tomatoes. I doubled the recipe but used a pound of bay scallops. My parm cheese clumped in this.

  3. Oops, I forgot to rate this great meal. I used bay scallops and canned tomatoes and did not use the cheese (its just very odd to have cheese on a seafood dish for us). I used whole wheat spaghetti and added fresh basil and oregano. Everyone enjoyed it and I'll make it again. Thanks for posting.

  4. Top-notch meal with very little effort! I used romano cheese instead of parm because that is what I had on hand, and I jacked up the portions a tad because of our appetites. Everything balanced out well (I think this recipe is forgiving in that sense), and it resulting in a very satisfying dinner for us. Thank you!

  5. I needed a dish in a hurry because what I had planned was missing some ingredients. I chose this because of the short preparation/cooking time. What a treat, that something so easy to make would turn out so tasty. I'll keep this in mind as a regular last-minute go-to dinner.

Tweaks

  1. I followed the recipe exactly (using the chicken broth option), with the exception of using bay scallops instead of sea scallops. This sauce has a delicate rich flavor and is very good. My hubby licked the bowl clean, and there were no leftovers. Excellent pasta recipe.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
