This delicious addition to holiday festivities uses an entire box of Nilla Wafers. We keep these on our coffee table during holiday entertaining.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (12 ounce) box vanilla wafers, crushed fine
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Karo syrup
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped
  • 38 cup Bourbon or 38 cup brandy or 38 cup rum

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together well.
  2. Shape into balls.
  3. Roll in additional powdered sugar.
  4. Store in tin can.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I never made rum balls before and these were fantastic and so very simple to make. I used coconut rum because that was the only rum I had. I halved the recipe because I didn't need too many and I still got 20 rum balls. I used a small cookie scoop. Thank you for sharing!

What a great recipe! I a hard time finding 12 ounce boxes of vanilla wafers all they have now are 11 ounce boxes. It didn't seem to make all that much difference in the final product though,look and taste just wonderful ! Thanks !!!!!
