  1. This is EXACTLY the recipe I have been looking for! I had this pie in Alabama 2 years ago, and have been trying to replicate it ever since. I have some bourbon that I use in the summer to liven up bottled BBQ sauce, and needed guidelines to follow. THANK YOU!!

  2. After having some unbelievably good bourbon pecan pie at a restaurant in Hayward, Wisconsin, we NEEDED a recipe for home. This one was good although we added a tsp of bourbon after cooking in order to up the bourbon flavor that was masked a little by the chocolate. Next time we'll omit the chips and up the bourbon. Very easy to make!

  3. Fabulous!! I didn't add any bourbon, as I didn't have any on hand (and forgot to buy some!). Still one of the best pecan pies I ever eaten. Very rich and decadent, even without the bourbon. My son practically ate the whole thing himself. I still plan on making this recipe with the bourbon, which I think will add a whole new twist. Thanks for posting!

  4. Decadent, awesome! I made it exactly as written. My DH is supposedly on a low-carb diet (and he's been very faithful to it, lost 40 pounds.) He decided to have "just one piece" of this pie and ended up eating half of the pie today. The chocolate makes it rich, and the bourbon adds a little extra in the great flavor. Thanks for posting.
