This was a great dip but somewhat hard to eat. Next time I will mix the hot sauce soaked chicken with the cream cheese/ranch layer. Our friends had a hard time "breaking" through the top of the cheese and were only getting the creamy layer before I used a spoon to just mix it all up.
LOVED this recipe. I don't usually comment on recipes I find online, but this one was exceptional. Everyone raved about it. I like that the recipe calls for chicken breasts and not canned chicken. Fresh makes all the difference. Thank you!
My mom brought this recipe today for super bowl. It's very tasty.We still have a lot of it left that we are going to eat tomorrow as a side with chips next to our tacos.
I don't understand not using celery. This completes the recipe and gives it the 'crunch'
it needs. I have made this for years and it's still requested whenever there is a get-together, even
though I would enjoy bringing something else for a change. The people insist!!
This is a great dip! I drained 2 12.5 oz. cans of chunk chicken, added the Frank's hot sauce and let it sit for 30 minutes after mixing well. I omitted the celery and topped the cream cheese/ranch mixture with 2 cups of cheese. This was a huge hit at our Cinco de Mayo potluck at school! Thanks for sharing this great recipe, BerrySweet!
Here it is! This is the recipe I use every football weekend. I omit the celery though. I would recommennd letting the hot sauce sit on the shredded chicken as long as an hour(in the fridge) to let the hot sauce seep into the chicken. I serve with sliced Baguette and celery sticks..I never come home with leftovers.
