Excellent dish. Everyone loved it. I didn't have the capers and only put in half the lemon juice. Served it over white rice and Wow!
My husband fell inlove with this dish. I used dried ginger and I didnt have capers or green olives, but wow, this was fantastic. We had it over whole wheat angel hair noodles.
I'm giving this four stars because my very picky 4 year old cleaned his plate and asked for seconds... which shocked me! DH and I liked it, but we found the cinnamon a little strong. It also had a slightly bitter flavor with the capers and lemon. (I've had this happen before using fresh lemon and capers, so I added a scant teaspoon of brown sugar to mellow it out a bit.) We'll make this again, and tweak a couple things to get it just right for our family - thanks for posting!
This is fabulous. Totally enjoyed it, and so quick to put together
I had to double the complete recipe and still made some amount adjustments, I also added in seasoned salt, black pepper and garlic powder to the flour, even with a double recipe I reduced the chicken broth to only 1-1/2 cups, it also needed lots of heat, so I added in 3 teaspoons dried chili flakes in with the onion/bell pepper, I omitted the cooking spray and used olive oil, the capers needed to be increased way up for our tastes, thanks for sharing Reds!...Kitten:)
WOW! This is fantastic! I cut the recipe in half and I am sorry I did that because we want more! The sauce is great! I had to leave out the bell pepers because I did not have them but it was wonderful without them. This is so easy to make. Thanks for this great recipe. I love the fact that it is a light dish. I am already planning to make this for company!
