A very dear friend of my mother's use to make this for us every christmas. They are very rich.
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup nuts
- 1⁄4 cup butter, melted
- 7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- Mix ingredients, make into balls, chill in refrigerator 1 hour or longer.
- Coat with melted semi-sweet chocolate and then cool slightly.
- You can add about 1/2 block parafine to chocolate.
My mom and I make these for Christmas every year. We do add the parafin to the chocolate. It helps with the coating process and does not take away from the heavenly flavor of this ultra-decadant dessert!
I made these also this past weekend. I had to use more powered sugar for a rolling consistence. After you dip them in melted chocolat chips they are to die for. Make them small because you don't much. i didn't use the parafin in the chocolate. Very, very good!!
