  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil with low heat.
  2. add shallots and garlic and saute until transparent.
  3. add ground beef, and stir until browned and well seperated.
  4. season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. add tomatoes, oregeno, basil, mushrooms, parsley, and tomato paste.
  6. bring to a boil then reduce heat and allow to simmer until sauce thickens.

Very good and easy sauce to make with ingredients that are usually always around.<br/>I added a little red wine to be exotic. i added a teaspoon of brown sugar like some of the other reviewers recommended but I would skip that next time. 5 stars because it came out very tasty, and is easy to make!

This was great! Easy and tasty. My 1 1/2 year old loved it, he surprised me with how much he ate!
Only modifications that I made were adding 1/2 of a green bell pepper that I sauteed with the onion. I also added 1 tsp of sugar.
Very nice homemade recipe that beats store-bought hands down! Thanks for posting.

Delicious! I was looking for a bolognese recipe for what I had around the kitchen and it was easy and very tasty. I added a bit of sugar as the other reviews suggested and it came out perfect. Thanks for sharing this!
