This comes from my Indiana Mother-in-law. It's a very tasty sandwich spread, quick and easy to make. It does not keep for more than 5 days in the refrigerator.

  1. Run bologna and cheese through food processor or meat grinder.
  2. Stir in chopped sweet pickles and miracle whip.
  3. Season to taste.
  4. Store in covered container in refrigerator for no more than 5 days.
  5. Chopped boiled eggs can be added, but shelf life will be decreased.

My mom has been making this for years too! Being from Michigan, I get Pickled Bologna and use that in this recipe. I also leave out the cheese and use dill pickles. I use Miracle Whip or Mayonnaise depending on who is eating it (I HATE Miracle Whip). If I can't get Pickled Bologna then I will use regular garlic bologna and add about 1-2 tsp of vinegar.

I love bologna sandwiches. You make them and I'll eat them. LOL I really liked the simplicity of this spread, and it was a breeze to make. I really don't like the sweet pickles, so I used dill. I will definately use this recipe again. Thanks for sharing.
