- 2 cups okra
- salt and pepper
- 3⁄4 teaspoon lemon juice
directions
- Place okra in a sause pan and cover with water, and add lemon juice.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Bring to boil.
- Simmer for 8-10 minutes.
- No longer!
- The taste is great!
- Not mushy, but not crisp at all.
- I used the frozen, cut okra.
- The lemon juice adds a wonderful kick to the taste.

As an "Old Geezer" that retired over two years ago, I have been cooking for the family ( my wife and youngest son who refuses to move :) ) since the wife went back to work.

This will open many more doors as I want to venture into breads and other delights.
I say I am retired but teaching a Sunday School classes, a Monday night training class, and other activities, I also love wooden boat building. But the weather has kept me from building and becoming "in-bound" I have taken up cooking and baking.
