These Hard boiled eggs taste great and are a good accompaniment to salads and appetizers.

  1. Place the eggs in a medium saucepan and cover with room temperature water. Bring the eggs to a boil, remove from the heat and let sit for 8 minutes. Shock the eggs in cold water to stop the cooking and shrink the egg from the shell. Peel.

30 years old and I hated peeling eggs all my life...until now! Thank you for this recipe, I will now make hard boiled eggs with a smile on my face. Never knew it could be so easy!!!

It worked but I had to add about a cup more water because it nowhere covered my eggs in my "small" sauce pot. I guess it just wasn't small enough. :/

I needed a few eggs for different recipes so made these up. I followed the recipe as written. It doesn't say what to do with the salt but I added it to the water. Made for perfect hard boiled eggs.
