I am not leaving any stars in case I made an error. This did not work for me. WI Cheesehead added some stuff and it worked for them. I made this by following the original recipe. This became very much like jello and not spreadable at all. Made for Top Favs of 2009.

I was looking for a lotion that doesn't have water in it, so I wouldn't have to add preservatives. I changed this a bit by adding 1 T raw shea butter and 1 T stearic acid (to help thicken and combine the ingredients) and using about 10 drops of the peppermint to mask the shea smell. It came out looking like lemon custard! It works great on my hands without being too greasy. The only thing I would say is that it doesn't make 2 cups, it makes 1/2 cup - maybe a typo? UPDATE: This made it into my Top Fav's of 2009 cookbook (with my changes). Original Review 2-23-09.
