Found this in a library book, The best of Country Cooking. Im posting here for safe keeping. I thought this would be cute to serve around the holidays.

  1. In a large skillet, combine marshmallows, sugar, water, and candies.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until candies are dissolved.
  3. Add apples.
  4. Simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until apples are tender, gently turning once. Add lemon juice.
  5. Cool.

Made as directed and the kids absolutely inhaled them. As the mixture cools, it thickens a great deal without getting hard. A fun fall dessert with the flavor of candied apples without all of the work, sweeter than baked or fried apples. Thanks for sharing the recipe! Made for PAC Fall 2008.
