I scaled this pie filling recipe down to just 1/5th to use as a hamentaschen filling. It came out perfect and delicious. Thanks for posting such a yummy recipe. At first it seemed clumpy and weird, but as the instructions stated, i stirred it well and everything dissolved and combined just fine. I didn't have to add any additional anything, and it cooked just fine at the temperature the cookies call for, 375.
I made this pie word for word as the recipe stated. It was a gummy and grainy mess. The sugar never fully dissolved and the flour made a white paste in the pie. What a waste of fresh berries.

Great pie. I added a bit of lemon extract with the lemon juice and the flavor was amazing. 35 minutes wasn't enough time for it to bake. It was perfectly golden by that time, but then I covered it with foil and baked it another 20 minutes and it set up great.
my family reports this is the best blueberry pie they've ever tasted! I like that it's not terribly sweet and you can still taste the tartness of the berries. I used frozen, thawing them first, squeezing just a tad to get the extra moisture out, and measuring the full 5 cups from there. I also added 1 tsp of cornstarch to the flour. amazing!
Oh my, I am the s**t now. My dads favorite pie is blueberry and I took him home one for Christmas. He loved it and I was given so much praise.....what daughter doesn't like to hear that from her dad??? Anyway, thank you for helping me make this delicious pie.
I remember making this earlier this year. One of the few pies I actually like. Definate keeper. Might have to plant some blueberry bushes just to have it a bit more often.
This is by far the BEST blueberry pie I have ever had!!!!! When I was mixing the filling for the pie I wanted to just gobble all the blueberries down right there! I think the fresh blueberries truly make this pie a treat! We had it at our Thanksgiving feast and it will defintely be around for every holiday to come! Thanks for such an amazing recipe
