Blueberry Margarita

"The original recipe was for a strawberry magarita and it was in a circular that was delivered to my house for the Cinco De Mayo celebration. *Note: Cooking time is blending time. (Corrections have been made to this recipe)."

  1. Loved the color. Makes a great summer drink.<br/>This was a little tart. I did use 100% blueberry juice. Maybe the concentrate is sweetened? I did add some honey and it was better. Thanks!

  2. Pretty, and delicious. I liked this drink. I substituted triple sec for blue curacao. I didn't have quite enough blueberries so I added a few blackberries. I cut the ice in half from previous review. I used sugar around the top instead of salt, personal preference. Made for Summer Comfort Cafe.

  3. I wanted to love this, but it wasn't to be. I cut the recipe down to 1 serving and subbed triple sec for the blue curacao. I did like the drink, but there wasn't much blueberry flavor to it; I think part of the problem is there is too much ice and would recommend cutting back (one drink used 1 1/2 cups) to half the amount or less. I have a good blender and even then there was a lot of blueberry pith in the drink which wasn't pleasant in the mouth. It would be interesting to try this with blueberry juice ice cubes in place of the fruit and much of the ice. Made for the Comfort Cafe July 09.

  4. So refreshing with wonderful blend of flavors. Goes great on this hot summer afternoon. I like my margaritas on the rocks, so that is how I made this one. My old blender had trouble getting all the frozen blueberries ground, but finally I had a beautiful cocktail. Thanks for sharing. Made for Spring Spectacular. :)
