Very good! The only change I made was adding 1 tsp vanilla extract the second time I made the recipe. I may try baking this in smallish cake pan next time to make it easier to bring to brunches, etc. The texture is great; very moist with a crisp exterior. I have not made the icing, but I'm sure its wonderful. Great recipe! Thanks
Used fresh blueberries, and toothpick was clean in 60 min. !! Top was brown and sides away from the edges. All the blueberries at the bottom, and a tad damp -- but nice texture and crisp taste. Did not use icing. Thanks for posting, mstrcook.
everyone at work enjoyed this very much, very moist and lots of lemon flavor.
This is a cross between bread and cake. I even cheated and used well drained CANNED blueberries and it was amazingly soft and yummy.
I made this for a tea party that I was going to yesterday. I was nervous that the lemon was going to be a bit overwhelming but it wasn't atall, this was a great hit! I did use 2 cups of blueberries instead of one. Thank you this recipe!!
OH That is GOOD! The bread is already good, but the glazing (it looks more like glazing than icing) is mouth-watering good. I will be making this often. Very moist and delicious. I could not wait until it cooled to cut into it. I had to try it immediately after I put the glazing on. YUMMY! THANK YOU.
this bread is fantastic! finally found the recipe again after searching for the one with the wonderful glaze and hole-poking instructions. making this for friends this weekend & can't wait to taste it again!
I used a full stick of butter, about 1/3 cup of fresh lemon juice and buttermilk for the milk, no icing. Came out very moist and flavorful, will make again. Thanks!
Loved this recipe....I used splenda for baking and it turned out perfect...
Very nice blend of flavors. I omitted the icing, so it was just a good overall bread. I had to keep it in the oven for a little longer than stated, but other than that it was fabulous. Thanks for posting!
