This great recipe came from my good friend Vera back in 1974, I have been enjoying it every since. Not sure where she got it from it is delicious, as all her recipes are.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (18 ounce) package refrigerated sugar cookie dough, room temperature
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 14 cup sugar
  • 14 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 1 12 cups blueberry pie filling

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Press dough evenly in a greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese, egg, sugar, and lemon rind in a medium size bowl with mixer till smooth.
  4. Spread mixture over cookie dough.
  5. Dollop blueberry pie filling on cheese;swirl with a knife or small metal spatula.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven for 35 minutes.
  7. Cool on a wire rack.
  8. Cut into bars. Refrigerate.
