WONDERFUL FLAVORFUL CHEWY brownies! I LOVE recipes with a different twist! This was so easy and they turned out nice and chocolaty with the complimenting flavors of lemon and blueberries. The blueberries also lend to the great chewiness of this brownie. I made a half recipe in an 8x8 pan. I also melted my chocolate chips and butter in a pyrex in the microwave...easy peasy. Made for 1-2-3 hit wonders.

I made these for my fiance (who adores blueberries) and our guests; I'm allergic to blueberries, and as such I couldn't sample these this review is based on my experience making them and what those who tried them had to say. The recipe was easy to follow and worked just as it was supposed to, and the brownies baked up beautifully -- the top formed a gorgeous crust. Everyone really liked these, but the general opinion was that my regular brownie recipe (a cocoa-based one that is actually easier and faster to make) somehow had better overall "chocolate" flavor, in spite of the fact that I used premium chocolate for this one. Still, this is a great brownie recipe for those times when you don't want to use cocoa (or don't have it handy). They are rich and make a beautiful presentation. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome! I was afraid these would be too sweet with two cups of sugar but it seemed to give them a caramel-y flavor. I still may try to cut down the sugar a bit next time though. I loved the blueberries. I had no trouble getting them out of the pan, even when I had to try a small piece when they'd only been out of the oven for 5 minutes (I just can't resist warm brownies!) Thanks for the recipe!
