Blue Mountain Barbecue Sauce

"This is soooo good, especially with grilled pork and chicken. I tried to locate the source of the recipe, but couldn't find it so, to whomever created it, THANKS!!! I took the liberty of cutting the oil to 1 tablespoon."

directions

  • In a medium nonreactive saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
  • Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened - 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Let cool before using as a marinade.
  • Store in a covered container in the fridge for up to three months. (Yeah, right - like it'll last that long!).

  1. The Blue Mountain bbq sauce is delightful. The m going to try this marinade sauce. I’m a loving cook, baker and smoker of any meat. This should compliment any meat I smoke.

  2. I love making sauces to try and this one sounded good. It was terrific on our chicken and one that will be kept in the fridge throughout the summer. Thanks for the recipe!

  3. Very good, but too sweet for me. I also cooked it down a little, as the initial thickness was like tomato soup. Excellent if you want very sweet BBQ sauce, otherwise it's too much.

  4. This was yummy. I wanted a thicker sauce, so I simmered it about an hour. I was also slicing a pineapple and threw some pinapple chunks in the sauce. That put it over the top. I used it on baked chicken. My granddaughters ate 5 pieces of chicken. Great recipe. Thanks for posting

  5. I loved this BBQ sauce! I dumped out the store bought bottle, I had in the fridge, and filled it up with this. I added a little dry mustard and a few drops of liquid smoke. I'll look no further for the perfect sauce. Thank you so much for posting.
