A long-gone ice cream & snack shop in Fells Point (Baltimore, MD) used to sell a smoothie by this name. This is my (healthier) adaptation of it - you could use 2 cups or so of vanilla frozen yogurt instead of the protein powder and most of the ice if you want it more authentic!

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 8 -10 ounces frozen blueberries
  • 1 large banana
  • 14 g protein powder
  • 10 fluid ounces apple juice (1 small bottle)
  • 4 -8 ice cubes

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients except ice cubes to blender (or tall beaker, if using immersion blender).
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add ice cubes until desired consistency is reached.
